Turkish Engineering Great Success: SEBA Wins at NetworkX 2025

Argela and its U.S. affiliate Netsia achieved remarkable success at the NetworkX Awards 2025, one of the most prestigious platforms in the global telecommunications industry. Their jointly developed project, SEBA project at Türk Telekom, outperformed major international players to win first place in the “Outstanding Multi-Gigabit Fibre Access Innovation” category.

Developed by Turkish engineers, SEBA (SDN Enabled Broadband Access / Software-Based Broadband Access Solution) represents a breakthrough in telecommunications infrastructure utilizing whitebox OLTs with its open, disaggregated, cloud-native architecture.

Türk Telekom SEBA project is one of Europe’s most advanced operator-led transformations, delivering measurable gains in performance, cost, and flexibility. Built on the LF Broadband open-source SEBA architecture, it virtualizes broadband control and enables vendor-neutral operation of whitebox OLTs and multi-vendor ONTs. This open, cloud-native approach has achieved over 50% CAPEX savings and 10–20% OPEX efficiency, setting a benchmark for next-generation multi-gigabit fibre networks.

The number of households connected through Türk Telekom’s SEBA project continues to grow rapidly, targeting one million active subscribers by the end of this year. In addition to the SEBA project, Argela and Netsia are strengthening their global presence with the first international deployment of the same solution for a leading European operator.
